A Dream Come True: I’m Teaching at Adobe MAX 2026!
Some opportunities feel like they’ve been a long time coming. For me, teaching at Adobe MAX has always been one of them.
This November, I’ll be heading to Miami Beach to present at Adobe MAX 2026, where I’ll be leading a hands-on lab focused on something I’ve spent much of my career doing: turning great ideas into great packaging design.
During the 90-minute lab, we’ll walk through my real-world packaging design workflow in Adobe Illustrator—from understanding the client and establishing the brand, to developing the logo and visual system, creating custom vector elements, setting type, handling spot colors and legal information, and ultimately preparing the artwork for production and presentation.
The goal isn't just to talk about packaging design. We’ll actually make something.
I’ll be sharing the same tools, techniques, and thinking I use with real clients at Slagle Design, giving designers an inside look at how I move from initial concept to polished, production-ready packaging.
And honestly, getting the opportunity to teach this at MAX is pretty surreal. Adobe MAX has been a place I’ve looked to for inspiration throughout my career, so being on the other side of the stage—and getting to share what I’ve learned with other creatives—is something I’m incredibly excited about.
Come join me in Miami!
If you’re a designer, illustrator, or creative who wants to sharpen your Illustrator skills while learning more about the packaging design process, I’d love to have you in the lab.
One of my lab sessions is already FULL, and the second session is filling quickly. So if you’re planning to attend Adobe MAX, now is a good time to register for the conference and reserve your seat.
I hope to see you in Miami Beach this November. Come learn, make some cool stuff, and say hello!
