When you think of Kansas City, what comes to mind?
Are there any visual icons, colors, fonts, patterns that are unique to KC? Example: Chicago has the red, white and blue flag with stars that are used EVERYWHERE.
List some words that describe Kansas City's personality: Examples: Quirky, rugged, artistic, blue collar, approachable, Midwestern values, welcoming, etc.
List some words that describe Kansas City visually: Example: Modern, contemporary, traditional, bright colors, etc.
The conference theme is "2020 Vision" and is based on Proverbs 4:25: “Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.” Do you see any ways to tie this theme with Kansas City in a visual way?
List any landmarks, architectural or geographical features you think could be relevant to the branding of the conference: Example: Saint Louis Arch or New Orleans French Quarter
Any visual elements like official state or city bird, flower, etc. we should know about?
Are there any brands you can think of that you think will resonate or be compatible with the Kansas City vibe and why? Does not have to be a KC based company or brand. Example: Target, because they are clean and modern, fun, bright and cheery.
Are there any "tropes" or design elements we should avoid either because they are overdone, trite, or do not accurately represent KC? Example: While the nation considers us the birthplace of BBQ, we offer so much more and we don't want to look like a BBQ restaurant.
Any additional thoughts or ideas we should consider that we may not have covered in the questions above?
