It's something many of us dream about, but few actually attempt: creating an agency from scratch. Most people shy away from that kind of risk, but this month's speakers did it anyway. And it's working.

Our third-annual Design Summit welcomes the founders of some of the hottest small agencies in Columbus (Old Machine, Black Letter, TreeTree, and Bonfire Red) to tell us when they decided to take the plunge and how they've managed to make it work. Then we'll open it up to YOUR questions, so you can take a closer look before you leap.

This is the final event of 2014 before Creative Best. Don't miss it!

Get here early and join us upstairs in the Gateway's second floor lobby. Grab some munchies, enjoy the cash bar, and be social.

Parking is easy and costs $1 in the garage right next to the cinema when you validate your ticket inside the Gateway Film Center.

Columbus Brewing Co. Moving to Larger Facility

I'm excited for Eric and Beth Bean and the team at CBC as they acquire their new, much larger location. They have been beyond capacity at their existing location and the move will allow them to meet and even exceed demand; allowing them to move into new markets.

It's been five years since we started and it's been quite a ride! 2014 has been incredibly full and rewarding. So many fun projects and new clients and partners. I am truly blessed to work with the best. It's about time for a new website with updated work. So here it is, in all of its (finally mobile responsive) glory. Enjoy!

Columbus Crew Gets a New Logo

Congratulations Columbus Crew for a well designed and much-neded update to their logo. I'm really happy to see the "construction crew" go away. While some have been critical of the new design, I'm embracing it. American sports franchises like NFL, NHL, MLB and NBA are easy for us to critique, but soccer is an international sport with traditions and emblems most Americans are unfamiliar with. The new Crew badge does a great job bridging the gap and bringing a modern, American spin to an international soccer style. Spacejunk Media did a killer job with their "Badge of Honor" animation for the public unveiling of the logo. 

Bake Me Happy opens location in Merion Village

Slagle Design is proud to work with Wendy and Letha at Bake Me Happy, an amazing new bakery in Merion Village (that just happens to be gluten-free). Be sure to stop in for some goodies and coffee at their beautiful new location in Merion Village at 116 E Moler Street, Columbus, OH 43207.
