My favorite feature, by far, in Adobe Illustrator is the ability to create custom brushes.
It’s a feature I discovered just a few years ago while illustrating some self-published children’s books and it opened my eyes to new ways to approach my work. Making Ai brushes from found objects or even digital assets allows you to give your work a personality and feel that is uniquely yours and streamlines the illustration process, making your more efficient, and creating consistent visual assets that can really tie a series of illustrations together.
